Today I did a 1 miler around the neighborhood. It was a fun challenge in the rain.... as I probably will encounter wet days on my cross country journey, and I'm not going to let a wet day stop me.
I've added more music to my shuffle and admit the beat of the music affects the quality of my walking.
I'm happy with my progress... in my first month I've gained strength and endurance, and daily am learning that even the little bit of exercise is worth more than none at all.... I'm enjoying the walks.
Setting my first long walk challenge is my current focus. I'm aiming for New Year's Day - Why Not????
So...
Walk With Me - Training Challenge number 1... is going to be the 10 mile walk from my mom's house to PV - Whale Watch Station.
Walk With Me - Training Challenge number 2... will be a New Year's Day walk, up the beach... as far as I can go... Perhaps 10 or 15 miles? I don't know yet. I'll get someone in the family to meet me at the "end"....
