Exciting Begining

Okay... so yesterday I put it down on the calendar, and today I started thinking and planning, and planning and thinking... my strategy, my needs, my goals, both short term and long term.... what is in store? How will I train? What will I gain, learn, and what is my purpose.

Besides figuring out my plan for 2012.... I need to learn about me, my needs as a walker. How far can I walk in one day? How many miles per "leg" and how many "legs" will this trek have? And for a test or trial... perhaps a shorter LA to San Francisco walk should be put into the plan.... say in 2010... that's 2 summers away.... Okay, that's not so crazy.... is it?

I e-mailed my best friend today. Step one in building my support team.
I've also found a training site... at www.MapMyWalk.com to map all my training and progress...
go to SuzanneJuly19 to see that info... Nothing is a secret regarding this challenge...

Next Step... take a few more steps. Short term: 1-3 mile walks during the week, short power walks... and the 10 mile training walk along the beach to Palos Verdes / Light house....
